Life is the heart of a rainbow

DSC_0028bIt’s seriously been a while. With my travel libido at an all time low these past two semesters, owed in most part to the final throes of my degree, I have done zero exploring and spent most of my time indoors on the books.

But it’s done, after four and a half years. No more study!

Since completing my final prac last week I’ve drunk champagne, caught up on sleep, and applied for jobs, in that order. So it was today, with no money but plenty of free time that I hit the Gallery of Modern Art to see the Yayoi Kusama – Life is the heart of a rainbow exhibition with a friend.

DSC_0019bTo say the Kusama artwork arrested my attention is not an overstatement. I still don’t really know what Life at the heart of a rainbow means (although it feels wildly open to interpretation) but I do know it feels bright and strangely confronting. Probably a bit like my job prospects. Here’s a snap shot!

After all, well, moon is a polka dot, sun is a polka dot, and then, the earth where we live is also a polka dot – Kusama
