Squeezing the most out of life | An Aussie and a Colombian living life with a wandering spirit. Eight years together & over 60 countries up our sleeves, we're sharing the love |

Photo dump: Up close and natural

I was lucky enough to get an early Christmas present from Andres last week – a macro lens for my camera – which means I can delve in to tiny worlds in a fresh way.

Until we travel again in the new year, this lens is helping me see things differently, giving me the sense that I’m still exploring and discovering new things. The great part being that a beautiful microcosm exists in my backyard; I just needed to look.

I’ve been reminded of chasing insects as a kid with my bug catcher, only now I don’t slowly suffocate them in a strange plastic container, and I have the pleasure of sharing my visual finds with you.

In some sense man is a microcosm of the Universe; therefore what man is, is a clue to the Universe. We are enfolded in the universe. David Bohm
