Sunset worshipping from Mindel Beach Markets

Speak to any local from Darwin and they’ll tell you a visit to the Top End isn’t very thorough without a stop at Mindel Beach Sunset Market. Sure, there are plenty of places in the world with great sunset views; but Mindel is definitely special. So special in fact that watching everyone watching can be a transformational experience.

And not to be too touchy feely, but the general meeting of people on the beach, individuals from all around the world – people playing sport, drinking  take-away something, and eating a range of multicultural street food is a buzz all of it’s own. Add to that a relaxed indigenous vibe, local market performers, creative arty wares for sale, and some of the best oysters to scoff this side of Perth, and you’ll understand that Mindel is THE place to be on a Sunday eve. We just happened to be there for a full moon and some waxing Venus transit energy. Goosebumps.

I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
